ABOUT RUBY RECORDS
Established in 2007, Ruby Records manages artists, oversees the music production process, and books performances for our artists at various live venues ranging from large-scale music festivals to local clubs prominent in the indie music scene. We are constantly on the lookout for fresh, new acts within South Korea and seek to work with artists from around the world.
Booking and Festival Organizing
In a partnership with The Pentaport Rock Festival, we will be in charge of booking and managing the logistical aspects of the Asian Stage. On top of handling the logistics, we will select local Korean artists in addition to musicians outside of Korea to perform on the Asian Stage.
We also handle logistics and planning for the Grand Mint Festival and work in various partnerships with third-party agencies such as the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) in facilitating the planning and development of concerts and events in South Korea.
Artist Management
At Ruby Records, we specialize in artist promotion through the utilization of social networking websites, blogs, and forums. After successful promotion, this year two of our featured artists, Huckleberry Finn and Windy City are to perform at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin and at the Canadian Music Week Festival. We will oversee the bands’ activities in North America.
Domestic/Overseas Licensing
Ruby Records also licenses our artists’ music domestically and internationally in countries such as The United States, Sweden, Japan, China, Taiwan, Canada, and Australia. Our artists’ music have appeared in commercials, television programs, and films. We also seek to license artists from abroad to give them the opportunity to spread their music to a new fan base here in South Korea.
Digital Distribution/SundayDisco!
Ruby Records works in conjunction with SundayDisco!, an online music service website that acts as a conduit between our artists and their fans. SundayDisco! specializes in digital distribution and promotion of our artists’ music.
